Wire Coiler DBR

The UMC DBR wire re-coiler produces 600mm (23.6”) mean diameter killed wire coils. It is capable of re-coiling a 1000M (3280ft) coil of 2.5mm high tensile, galvanised wire in 160 seconds, (1236ft/min). Options for re-coiling range from 1.6mm HT to 4.0mm LT wire thus covering most popular re-coiled wire product sizes, with minimum re-tooling requirements. It is capable of resetting wire memory so that all wire which comes off has a set helix allowing the end consumer to cut and pay-off wire with minimum tangles.

Machine Features

• Electronically controlled with two variable speed drives, allowing maximum flexibility on production.
• Automated table rotating mechanisms,drive actuation and basket lift as well as optional auto cutter and wire handling equipment.
• All electronics, electrical components and pneumatics are from reputable suppliers which stock parts in most countries.
• Machine has an integrated PLC control system, built in to the machine body with full pneumatic systems ready to plug in to mains supply.
• Safety circuits which sense wire presence, wire tension overload and all guards have sophisticated safety lockout systems and are either safety interlocked, locked or rigged up to cut off sensors.This provides workplace safety for operators and nearby personnel and factory visitors.
• The machine comes set up and test run for 2.5mm High Tensile wire.
• There are two baskets to allow for unloading while the machine is in operation.
• A satellite Operator interface allows the operator to efficiently cut, operate and tie off in the same area saving downtime on restarts.
• This provision allows machines to be set up in tandem with one operator having access to both controllers.
• Wire staging area is free and open allowing for easy staging of wire.
• Machine is easy to install, the only connections required are three phase power with secondary neutral and an air supply of 6 bar or more.
• It has a built in air reservoir to reduce peak consumption on existing air systems.
